We discovered Rich Krainak through fellow endorser Sean O'Bryan Smith. See, when Sean is busy flinging solo bass runs around the room, it's Rich that handles the bottom and keeps the band grooving. Now the pair of bassists is backed by a double backline of Eden gear.

During his 20-year career, Rich has worked in Pittsburgh, Lexington (Kentucky) and Houston, as well as his current home of Nashville, TN. Although his background is mainly in Jazz, he also tears it up in Rock, Country and Blues. During the Kentucky years he worked as bassist and musical director for Trish Torline (and The Bridge Street Band), a highly successful Country, and now, Christian Contemporary, artist, sharing the stage with David Allan Coe, J.D. Crowe & The New South, Tom Wopat and many others.

In more recent times Rich has performed with up-and-coming Country Artist Heather Wiggins, as well as Americana band Brick Lily and jazz vocalist Greg Walters. Besides performing and recording over the years, Rich produced, co-wrote and played bass on the extended-play piece "Nicotine Dream", performed with Chicago Blues pianist Ed Thurmond. This soundtrack music was created for a nationally-broadcast stop smoking program, and released on satellite TV as well as on DVD.

As of late, there has also been a lot of live work alongside Sean O'Bryan Smith in support of his latest release Tapestry, for which Krainak also served as Associate Producer for the CD, and is an Executive Partner in Groove Therapy Records. Now that the band is performiong in support of the CD, Rich handles the low end for the band, as well as backing keyboards, acoustic guitar and percussion.

To keep things solid and sounding their best, Rich uses our WTX-260 powering a pair of D-112XLT cabinets. Rich switched to Eden a year ago, after two decades on a competitor's rig. Why the switch? "My Eden rig brings me much better tone than I had before," Rich says, "and does so in a small package that is perfect for numerous applications. The size and light weight make it perfect for my schedule and needs, and the WTX-260 is the best answer to fly-dates I've ever seen."
